Our Mission
At Anchored Anew Publishing, LLC, our mission is to empower young minds through literature and multicultural illustrations, fostering a lifelong love of reading while nurturing essential social-emotional skills. Through our literacy initiative, we are dedicated to providing children with engaging and enriching stories that not only captivate their imaginations but also serve as tools for personal growth.

We believe that reading is fundamental to building a strong foundation for success in life. By offering diverse and inclusive content, we aim to instill values of empathy, understanding, and acceptance in young readers, promoting a sense of belonging in an ever-changing world. In addition to literacy, we are committed to promoting holistic well-being. Our publications integrate themes of self-esteem, resilience, and health awareness, equipping children with the knowledge and confidence to navigate life's challenges with grace and determination.

Through collaborative partnerships with educators, parents, and community organizations, we strive to make our resources accessible to all children, regardless of background or circumstance. Together, we are shaping a brighter future where every child has the opportunity to thrive, one story at a time.

Anchored Anew Publishing, LLC aims to publish children's books with meaning and lifelong purpose with the hopes of children retaining the message over into adulthood. Anchored H.E.L.P. books focus on four pillars: Health, Esteem, Literacy, and Positive Perspective-Taking. We commit to our books supporting one or more of these pillars through rhyme, relatability, and relevance.

The use of rhyme in childhood literacy has several beneficial effects:

-
Phonemic Awareness: Rhymes help children to identify and manipulate sounds within words. By listening to and producing rhymes, children become more attuned to the sounds of language, which is a crucial skill for learning to read and write.
-
Memory and Recall: Rhymes are often catchy and memorable, making them easier for children to remember. This aids in vocabulary acquisition and retention as children can recall rhyming words more easily.
-
Language Development: Rhymes expose children to a variety of words and language structures. Through exposure to rhymes, children expand their vocabulary and develop a deeper understanding of language patterns and syntax.
-
Reading Fluency: Reading rhyming texts helps children develop fluency in reading. Rhymes provide a predictable pattern that assists children in predicting words and phrases, thus improving their reading speed and comprehension.
-
Motivation and Engagement: Rhymes are inherently fun and engaging for children. The enjoyment derived from rhyming activities encourages children to engage with literacy materials more eagerly, fostering a positive attitude towards reading and learning.
